Bharat - India - My Country - My Countrymen

Here comes the anniversery number sixtey eight
time to remember about our tryst of that night
where the oppressed were promised big and bright
while a lot is done towards ending the poors plight
still work remains before we declare all perfect and right

Uncountable difficulties we face if i say it forthright
solutions to countless headaches yet far from sight
but while we pass the dark what awaits is light
on top of that enemies keep challenging our might
brave soldiers keep sacrificing their lives to win the fight

A moment also to remember those who stood against the British
who divided our society with hatred were those priggish
Revolutionist with guns and roars were so tigerish
never could the british win but stand on our land diminish
Lets take a few moments for those times and relinquish

I am born to the land of men, women and sages so revered
with different colours of kurta, turban and beard
when we gave them zero and decimal they cheered
civilizations had followed the route our forefathers pioneered
the world learned from us love and peace lets keep the trend adhered

The Game of Throne..!!

The election year is here
so has the political circus changed gear
all in ruckus, all who seemed stable and hither
suddenly churning ideas to make strategies clear

The saffron have decided for Modi to be crowned
they seemed to believe in the NAMO mantra sound
on his talks of development, masses go merry go round
but some still believe him to be that eternal hound

The party with the hand, who is on the throne
for years now have gone corruption prone
projecting a leader who for this seems to be born
but perception is, a lot of people on the idea scorn

Bihar appears to have become a political commodity
As Nitish’s divorce with BJP has gone dirty
and then having to fight a resurgent Lalu’s party
on the top bomb blasts have rocked Patna city

Mulayam, secularism’s prominent bastion
failed to control riots, with his corrupt system
he then stood with the Left and rolled the motion
Mamata left wondering, for that was her section

Down south Jayalalitha joined the third front cluster
posturing herself as a candidate for being Prime Minister
Naveen will surely jump in to support her candidature
but many still think such a government would be sinister

Up North, Kejriwal has stolen everybody’s thunder
but after having committed so much of blunder
and finally now since having to surrender
probably he will become a nationwide election campaigner

In a few days we go out to vote, to keep the govt in our grip
Corruption, inflation, terrorism , policy paralysis, leadership
many a problems of social injustice, which runs in us deep
this year go out and choose wisely, so as not to later weep

VOTE FOR INDIA.

Who is the Goddess ?

I am Devi, the goddess to this mortal mass
the divine mother to all, be the skies or grass
ever so malign in anger and benign in love
but no evil can through me make a pass.

I am Durga, this universe’s crowning creator
Mahishasura slayer and the invincible warrior
on a roaring lion I sit, trinity and sword in hands
but for believers, I usher joy, being their liberator.

I am Saraswati, embodying the sanctity of a river
consort of Brahma the god, living away from all the glitter
with a pot, lute, bead necklace and a book in my hands
I keep spreading knowledge, culture and music forever.

I am Lakshmi, the queen of fortune and wealth
materialistic in nature but holier in breath
spouse to lord Vishnu, sitting on a lotus
I give life fulfillment, beauty and health.

I am Kali, the bearer of omnipotent power
devouring daemons blood and playing abolisher
with a garland of human skulls and a tiger skin
I epitomise the raging furious feminine destroyer.

I am one, the ultimate goddess
as a mother comforting you with happiness
being a wife, struggling with you in life’s arduousness
and a daughter giving you all heartiness.

Present all around us in all their humbleness
she is every woman, to be respected with all our humanness.
